At intimate-Secrets.co.uk we are passionate about lingerie so when I was asked to write a regular column for our fantastic underwear website I jumped at the chance.

As a D+ girl I just love underwear, lingerie to me is the very foundation of fashion. Get it right and you will look fantastic, get is wrong and you will look terrible in whatever you wear. Lingerie has the power to lift your posture, make you walk taller, feel more confident and above all a properly fitted bra will give you that perfect shape and make the most of your bust.

I categorise my underwear draw into three categories everyday underwear, special occasion underwear and bedroom underwear for those romantic moments. Whatever the occasion wear a matching set it doesn’t cost much more but makes you feel a million dollars, and every girl should feel special because we are.

For me everyday underwear should be practical and stylish yet sexy and give you the correct shape and support that makes you feel comfortable all day.

I would always recommend that every woman owns a T-shirt bra or smooth cup bra in her lingerie draw. Why? well this type of bra will flatter your bust whatever you wear giving you a smooth shape under clothing, with the added benefit that if the bra is made with a foam cup you will keep nipple show through clothing to a minimum. You should always have the basic three colours of white, black and the fantastically versatile nude colour in your underwear draw that way you have a colour for every shade of clothing that you might wear. Nude has the fantastic ability to be almost invisible under clothing making it the new white and you will probable find as I do that I wear this colour bra far more frequently.

Your knickers should always be comfortable yet stylish and there is now a great choice of lingerie available from briefs and thongs to boyshorts.
To vanish the dreaded VPL I would always recommend thongs and strings but if you don’t get on with these then boyshorts are just as good due to the style and are fantastically comfortable.

Lingerie for special occasions should always make you feel special and sexy. You’ve bought that special outfit for a dinner date or evening out, so why spoil it with drab underwear.
 Sexy sheer mesh, cleavage enhancing, luxurious lace what ever your style always select your lingerie to give you the necessary foundation for the outfit you’re wearing. With so many bra styles to choose, balconnet to full cup there is sure to be a style to suit you.
Boyshorts and thongs are very sexy and can be complemented with a suspender belt or even a suspender thong or brief.
Many women find suspenders impractical but I love them and is something I’m intending to focus a whole article on in the future.

And finally lingerie for the bedroom, well I think I’ll let your imagination take care of that area of your lingerie draw.

So as you can see lingerie really is my passion and hope the articles I write in the future will pass on some of the passion I have for underwear to all our customers.
