What’s in a lingerie brand?

Well like all fashion, lingerie has also followed the disposable fashion route with many of our high street shops stocking cheap own brand lines that look fantastic on the hanger but this must surly come at a cost.

Well yes it does, a lingerie set is a work of art from selecting the correct fabric to the very construction of the garment. Just think how often you wash your favourite bra, once, twice a week and if it’s a branded bra it will look fantastic week after week with little loss of colour or shape, in-fact all you should notice is a small amount of adjustment needed of the band. Achieving this is something brands like Gossard, Panache, and Charnos all invest large amount of money in to ensure that the lingerie you buy has just these qualities.

Ah I here you say ‘I can get two bras for the price of one branded bra’ well yes you can but within a very short time the cheaper bra will loose its shape and long term you will end up spending more.

At Intimate-Secrets.co.uk we would advise our customers to buy new lingerie ever six months or by season (Autumn/Winter, Spring/Summer). You don’t need to spend a fortune, unless you’re like me and love underwear, just buy what you need. What you can be sure of it that the bra you buy will last the season possibly longer depending how you wash it, in-fact I have a Berlei bra I bought over a year ago which still fits fantastically, gives good support and shape and has been washed to death as I just love it.

All the fashion programs on the TV, Trinney and Susanna, Mica and Lisa all start with the lingerie as the foundation for any outfit, the first step to increasing your confidence with your body shape. So please, please don’t ignore your underwear draw treat yourself to some beautiful lingerie and I promise you will look fantastic and feel sensational.
